About The Black Is Tech Conference 2023

2023: a 3 Day Full In-person + 3 Day Virtual Experience.
The 5th Annual Black Is Tech Conference takes place on August 7 – 11, 2023. This year, we are returning to full in-person experiences with Speaking Stages, an Expo, Breakouts, Happy Hours, Specialized workshops and so much more…all IN-PERSON.
The in-person events will take place at the prestigious Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA from August 9-11, 2023.

For those still looking to enjoy the virtual experience at the Conference, we’ll kick off on August 7 with all the exciting activities online attendees have come to love over the past 3 years. The Virtual Experience takes place from August 7 – 9, 2023 and closes on August 9 when we officially begin the In-person part of the Conference.

This year, we are expecting 10,000 attendees in-person and an additional 15,000 attendees virtually, bringing a total attendance of 20,000 – 25,000. All General Admission virtual tickets are still FREE. In-person tickets start at an affordable price of $149 for the Early Bird General Admission.

Yeah, Black Tech was wonderful. I got to present on product and, and what it means to create and scale meaningful products and experiences using uh services. It was a great time, great time, great audience really enjoyed ee everything all the way from the, the, the cop Panelist to people reaching out. It was a wonderful experience and, and looking forward to doing it again in the future.

Relatively empty, I was surprised.
What did you like best about the event?
The energy was great, albeit from a small crowd. The topics were great, and the food and afterparties were a nice touch.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
They could’ve had check-in specifically for speakers; I had difficulty figuring out where to go. Also, no need to spread the conference so thin among so many rooms. Made the crowd seem even smaller.

I don't think the organizers need to improve anything about the event. I really like the fact they made a virtual event for people like me who couldn't join in person.

I enjoyed the conference. It was nice to be around so many like-minded people.
What did you like best about the event?
The variety of sessions was great. The sessions covered a wide range of topics.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The timing of the sessions could be improved. If you attended a noon session and there was a session that you wanted to go to right after, you would have to leave the noon session early to get there.

So Eye Opening!
What did you like best about the event?
There were so many panels about AI, its current state, and where it's going in the future.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I didn't like that there were in-person only days. I felt left out because I couldn't afford to travel or an in-person ticket.

The amount of speakers that shared their expertise was incredible. The event provided a feeling of invitation the entire time and was very welcoming.
