"A well-managed event."

The event was impressively well-organized, with sessions starting and ending on time. This allowed me to plan my day efficiently and attend the talks and workshops I was most interested in without any overlap or stress. I appreciated how the organizing team followed and showcased WordPress community best practices, from inclusive speaker selection to sustainable event planning and open contributor collaboration. Accessibility was clearly a top priority, from the venue layout to captioned talks and accessible communications. This made the event feel truly welcoming and inclusive for everyone, regardless of ability or background. The program was diverse and thoughtfully curated, offering something valuable for every type of attendee—be it contributor, developer, designer, or business owner. I found the mix of sessions, panels, and workshops incredibly engaging. The venue was spacious, modern, and well-equipped. It was easy to navigate, had great Wi-Fi and facilities, and was conveniently located near public transportation and accommodations.

"Networked a lot and gained new knowledge."

The hallway track remains my favorite part of any WordCamp. There was plenty of room to network. And the dessert cabinet was awesome too.

"Great community vibe."

The best part of WCEU was the community vibe—meeting passionate WordPress users, developers, and contributors from all over the world. Great talks, real conversations, and an inspiring sense of shared purpose.

So what came Europe was a pretty well managed event. The scheduling, the resources, logistics were top-notch. So I would give the organizers kudos for their efforts. Even though it was the 11, 10th or 11th edition of the conference, it felt like there was much. value in attendance for anyone who participated whether it was the vendors, whether it was the sponsor, whether it was volunteer speakers, it meant that the overall event had a positive impact on everyone so I would definitely endorse this event and looking forward to attending the next one. Thank you.

Great people, nice venue, and cool things to see around.
What did you like best about the event?
People are the essence of any live event, so hanging around with them is the best thing I like.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The food could be better, especially in variety. People come to a live event and get who they meet, what they feel, and what they eat.

I didn't have the opportunity to attend any of the talks due to my duties as organizer/photographer.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I found Basel to be very expensive for accommodation and food, so I'd prefer a more affordable location.

Networked a lot and gained new knowledge.
What did you like best about the event?
The hallway track remains my favorite part of any WordCamp. There was plenty of room to network. And the dessert cabinet was awesome too.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The space where the sponsors were standing was not optimal in terms of sound; it was really a sound box. I think there is little you can do about that as an organization, but it is good to take it into account. The balance in talks was a bit disappointing. We really missed (good) talks about design. Only 1 type of lunch was offered. If you didn't like that, there was no alternative. I had to arrange lunch myself. In previous years, this was different and better organized.

The presentation about Site Kit was very enlightening. I knew the plugin, but hadn't looked at it for years. I didn't know they had developed the plugin that much. I talked to Mariya for a long time afterwards, and it was very nice. Robin Martijn's presentation about internationalization was also very refreshing. There is a lot of talk about multilingualism, but what he said is rarely discussed.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?
One area that could be improved is the availability and variety of food options, especially for attendees with specific dietary needs. There was a noticeable lack of clearly labeled Halal meals and other inclusive choices, which made it difficult for some participants to enjoy the full experience during lunch and snack breaks. Ensuring a broader range of dietary accommodations would help make the event more welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
