As a speaker, the our panel session itself was positive, so we had a really great session, the feedback was really Positive. I would say it was a little bit hairy in the setup, so when we went down to organize our slides, the team down there were super, super helpful, and we went with plenty of time to spare, but then when we got up into the room, it was, there was no one to help us, in and around the area for quite some time, and even though we'd got there probably, you know, nearly half an hour early, just so you know there was no functioning aircon, our slides when we actually patched them in, weren't working. so just the ability to get someone was, difficult, but when she arrived she was an absolute jet, so super super helpful, but I just think the ability to communicate or get any feedback was a little tricky. but that said, I would say overall our experience as a speaker was really positive. as an attendee, I would say that it felt perhaps a little corporate and that some of the presentations felt like sales pitches or sort of, you know, the general shtick for some of the major brands, so I felt as though there wasn't. The, the degree of discovery or, I think, provocation or, interesting perspectives that I would have liked to get access to in an event in the nature of South by Southwest, but again that might have been poor choice because I didn't, Put enough time into the planning of which events to attend, but obviously the ones that were sort of perhaps a bit more, interesting speakers were also very oversubscribed on the day, so yeah, for me I think perhaps it would be interesting to have criteria that was much more kind of explicit in we're really not here to sell, or, You know, invite big brands to come with different perspectives, than the norm, because I think that is, more enlightening or interesting. You can take away something that actually genuinely is interesting, particularly because a lot of people that do certain streams are actually in the sector, so it would be interesting for South By to actually genuinely feel something different, you know, um. Which I would say from my experience was not the case, certainly in the sort of tech, and sort of marketing brands track.

Overall, I found the entire experience this year to be pretty fantastic. It was my 3rd year attending the conference as a speaker, and it took that long to figure out the ins and outs of how to get the most out of South by Southwest when I was there. There are certainly things that I want to try the next year and in subsequent years, like attending some of the movie festivals, but overall, the quality of the programming this year, the ability to access through the app, worked very well.

It was an amazing experience!
What did you like best about the event?
I really enjoyed the overall organization and atmosphere. The event was engaging, well-structured, and provided great opportunities to connect and learn. The speakers were inspiring, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The SXSW app could be improved its user interface and functionality were quite difficult to use. It was hard to navigate schedules and find session details easily. A more intuitive design and smoother performance would make planning and attending sessions much easier.

An Eye and Mind Opening Event!
What did you like best about the event?
It was a good event with too many talks!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
It was hard to plan days and the app was terrible to use. Would be good to have a focus on subjects for each day i.e. have specific days for specific subjects. And utilize the available location more efficiently. Need more places to eat and chill out, and also working spaces for all & not just platinum category. Also, better water fountains that actually fit a water bottle under them!

A fun experience!
What did you like best about the event?
An opportunity to spend a week outside of the standard routine, broaden your perspective with new ideas and thought leadership, and connect with people to expand your network.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
A better app experience would help—specifically, enhancing the planning functionality before the event so attendees can build an itinerary that accounts for time conflicts and the distance between venues. Many people mentioned that choosing which sessions or events to attend felt laborious. This is also an area you could gamify and incorporate into pre-event social engagement, allowing attendees to share and compare potential schedules. Overall, the event was positive and we had fun, but it felt more corporate and conventional than I had hoped. It lacked diversity and dynamism, and there was a lot of AI-focused content. A big part of why I enjoyed the event was the group of people I attended with.
