Adam is an award-winning technologist with over thirty years of experience. He is commercially oriented, people-focused, and loves finding elegant solutions to complex problems. After selling his digital agency in 2009, Adam started exploring ways to make a more impactful contribution by exploring the intersection of people and technology and using technology to drive the behaviours needed for success. He posited that most technology has it fundamentally wrong. Most systems are hard to use, and we go to them on their terms rather than them coming to us on our terms. What if technology knew what we wanted and could come to us with the right information, at the right time, and in the right context? We all know that the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. Could contextual education, automation and guidance help us to get better outcomes? This contextual or behavioural approach to how we think about the use of technology has profound implications, and Adam has spent over a decade and created several startups to explore these ideas. One of the key challenges to solve when creating people-centric technology is to represent both our ''inner world'', and the ''outer world'', as these are inherently vast and complex spaces. Adam created Procedural Worlds to model the ''outer world''. It enables people to create rich 3D environments across platforms, devices and industries. It makes the complex process of earth-scale world generation simple, cheap and fast. The convergence between the physical world and the digital world is coming. When this finally lands, it will fundamentally change how we think and interact with technology. Career highlights: • Recognized by Intel as a graphics innovator. • Empowering game developers to realize their dreams. • Helped stop several fisheries from becoming extinct. • Built and sold a market-leading Australian digital agency. • Won global awards for innovation with technology. Personal mission: I am happiest when helping people to realize their potential. My goal is to reduce poverty globally by giving people the tools, technology, and education they need to help them to help themselves. Each start-up moves me closer to achieving this.
