As the Head of Venture Capital for Canada at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Adam is responsible for the strategic direction and partnerships between Canada’s top VC firms and AWS to scale and invest in the best-in-class startups leveraging AWS, the number one cloud, globally. Prior to joining AWS, Adam was the Managing Director of Canada for venture capital, private equity and startups at Microsoft. Adam previously built Canada's first FinTech startups and innovation hub at MaRS Discovery District, one of North America's largest innovation hubs based in Toronto, Canada. Having worked in the venture capital, startup and corporate innovation eco-systems at Microsoft, MaRS, MasterCard, BlackBerry, and Zafin, Adam brings a unique skill set to AWS in scaling startups, venture capital, corporate technology integration and global technology partnerships. Adam is currently a member of the Board of Advisors for One Eleven in Toronto and Board Observer for the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo.
