I am a technologist who believes in innovation, communities and is passionate about building a better world through open collaboration. As Vice President of Developer Experience at Treeverse, I contribute to lakeFS, a git-like interface for data lakes. In my work, I bring my vast industry research and engineering experience to bear in educating and helping teams design, architect and build cost-effective data systems and machine learning pipelines that emphasize scalability, expertise, and business goals. I am a frequent worldwide presenter and the author of O'Reilly's upcoming book, ''Machine Learning With Apache Spark.'' Previously, I was a senior manager for Azure at Microsoft, where I focused on building advanced analytics systems and modern architectures. When I am not building data pipelines or thinking up new software architecture, you can find me on the local cultural scene or at the beach. I was nominated to be 1 of 25 influential women in Software Development by Apiumhub for 2019 and am a proud Databricks ambassador.
