Adriana Kertzer is the founder and principal at Plant Medicine Law Group, a psychedelics and cannabis law firm. She is a NY-based Texan-Brazilian lawyer and is on the board of Doctors for Cannabis Regulation and a member of the Psychedelic Bar Association and New York City Bar Association's Committee on Drugs and the Law. Adriana leads Faith+Psychedelics, a community for Jews, Christians and Muslims passionate about the potential role psychedelics can play in their own religions and exploring how psychedelics can benefit these existing religious traditions. She runs JewWhoTokes, an Instagram account that explores relationships with cannabis and psychedelics in the Jewish community. Plant Medicine Law Group is a psychedelics and cannabis law firm active in New York, California, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and Oregon. Our mission is to expand equitable access to psychedelics and cannabis plant medicine by helping companies and clinicians succeed in a complex, emerging market. Long bio: Adriana is a NY-based Texan-Brazilian lawyer and co-founder of Plant Medicine Law Group, a psychedelics and cannabis law firm founded in 2020. She is a board member of Doctors for Cannabis Regulation. Prior to creating PMLG with two other immigrant women lawyers, she ran Chestnut Hill Advisory Partners, a consultancy leading or managing design, real estate and cultural projects. She worked for the Obama Administration as the Senior Advisor to the Senior Deputy Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. Prior to that, she was a Curatorial Assistant & Digital Strategist at the Museum of Arts and Design, Teaching Assistant at Parsons The New School for Design, and Curatorial Fellow at the Cooper Hewitt Museum. As a lawyer Adriana worked as the Acting Assistant General Counsel at the Guggenheim Museum and a corporate lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett focused on Brazilian IPOs. Adriana runs Faith+Psychedelics, a community for Jews, Christians and Muslims passionate about the potential role psychedelics can play in their own religions and exploring how psychedelics can benefit these existing religious traditions, and JewWhoTokes, an Instagram account that explores relationships with cannabis and psychedelics in the Jewish community. Adriana is the author of Favelization: The Imaginary Brazil in Contemporary Film, Fashion, and Design, a book originally published by the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum (Smithsonian Institution).
