I'm a hands-on strategic executive. I take on challenges where organisational growth and transformation is required. Currently I’m leading the extraordinary financial services team at ConnectPay. My challenge: grow value of the company through building a team, a business strategy, organisation set up and regulatory compliance in the fast-changing highly regulated industry of digital payments. To get here - I have failed many times but found that every failure yields new insights and huge successes: - led the urban design of Birmingham Big City Plan in 2008-2011, the largest and 2nd most ambitious development project in the UK after London Olympics 2012. This transformed Birmingham into #1 city for foreign direct investment in the UK after London. - Founded an architectural studio in Lithuania. And failed. - Worked at the forefront team of transforming Invest Lithuania - re-building the economic brand of the country and making a public agency think and act as a business. Invest Lithuania is still the top business-centric public institution and the country itself has become a top investment attractor for fintech, global technology services and high-tech manufacturing. - For almost 2 years, I held the position of Advisor to the Mayor of Vilnius and helped reform Vilnius Municipality. We changed the corporate governance of municipal companies, who in turn implemented restructuring processes. As a result - these companies began generating profits within 2-3 years. We restructured the city’s budget and loans, introduced consistency and planning, consequently consolidating the city’s debt. Vilnius city debt went down by 100M Eur in 1yr and reduced twice in the next 2yrs. - I founded GoVilnius – a tourism and business attraction public agency for the Lithuanian capital. Also chaired the Board of Start Vilnius – making complex decisions on handling the closure of the municipal airlines, taxi companies and efficient use of municipal real estate. - I had the most amazing 2.5 year run as a CFO (Chief Family Officer), whilst simultaneously juggling roles as a real estate administrator and CMO at Klaipeda Free Economic Zone. It is the people, my thirst to see the big picture and curiosity that gets me going.
