I‘m an editor, trainer, content strategy consultant and public speaker with two decades’ of experience working across digital, live and print content. I’m a specialist in communicating complex subjects through data visualisation, writing and design. I help clients to distill complicated information into messaging that drives action, behaviour change and sales. I've delivered training and consultancy for clients including the BBC, the Arts Council, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, the Department of Health, the British Library and telco VEON. I also run startup-focused workshops for General Assembly, and innovative remote-learning company Jolt. I have written about complex technology subjects for clients including Phable, Praxi Data, Quantal Security and NEXTDC. As a public speaker I’ve given talks at the Open Data Science Conference (four times) and London Tech Week, as well as for Shoreditch House, Frieze Academy and The Idler. I oversaw the iPad edition launches of Wired, GQ, Vanity Fair and Vogue in the UK, and worked with Condé Nast International as product owner on a bespoke digital asset management system for their 11 global markets. I worked with Guardian Masterclasses on curating new course strands, including the startups and business courses, and delivering their B2B data visualisation courses. As a journalist I was Features Editor and Online Editor at Time Out. I frequently work remotely, and have collaborated with people and teams across Europe, and in the USA, China, Israel, Russia and Japan. My areas of expertise include: * content strategy * data visualisation and infographics * copywriting and editing * data dashboard design * training and facilitation * panel moderation and public speaking
