As president of Microsoft Spain, my goal is to contribute to the digitalization and modernization of Spanish companies and public administrations, to accelerate the growth of the economy and the advancement of our society. This digital transformation involves training and promoting the best digital talent. For Microsoft, and with the help of our ecosystem of more than 12,000 partners in Spain, our main goal is to create new jobs in the technology industry. Since January 1st, 2023, I have been appointed president of Forética and the Business Council for Sustainable Development. My priority leading these two entities is fostering sustainable innovation and the application of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) criteria within Spanish organizations, with the aim of Reimagining Spain. I like simplicity of plans and ideas. I love curiosity. I like people that are curious to learn, curious to discover new things, and to conceptualize simple and disruptive solutions for complex problems. However, what is probably closest to my heart is that I’m a great believer in innovation through making mistakes. When I joined my team from Latin America, the first thing I did was share my top 10 mistakes and what I learned. I continue to share the mistakes I’ve made since joining Microsoft Asia Pacific, and now leading Microsoft Spain. Why? I have always believed that great value can be obtained from reflecting on our mistakes and taking measures to ensure we turn our errors into future successes.
