I'm an award-winning documentary producer, director and presenter. I co-founded UK based production house Grammar Productions in 2016 to tell stories from the world's most weird and wonderful corners, with recent broadcasts on The History Channel, Discovery Channel, Canal+ International and the BBC. I'm also an independent advisor to the international development and private sector organisations on navigating political and social issues in fragile environments. My work has taken me across Europe, Latin America, Africa, South-East Asia and the Asia-Pacific, and I specialise in qualitative research in hard to reach areas. I'm particularly knowledgeable on the history, politics and society of Myanmar (Burma). I've worked across a number of different issue areas including: private sector development; natural resource governance; humanitarian assistance and access to justice/rule of law. I was educated at Cambridge University and the Judge Business Institute, and I'm now a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Twitter: @alexbescoby
