I have been actively working within sales, business development, and entrepreneurship for the last 14 years. I am currently working as the startup manager for the Baltic Region at Microsoft. I provide support to all startups from the ideation to the launch and finally to the exit phase. I have always been an excellent communicator and orator, but I actually realized it during my university years when I became the president of the student union. After giving my first speech, I knew right then and there that I had the expertise to not just communicate ideas effectively but also to motivate people. This led to a career in sales in retail. Quickly rising through the ranks, I was soon leading a team of more than 40 employees dedicated to the UK market with a strong emphasis on KPIs and deliverables. Simultaneously, I started my own business by investing in a restaurant chain. Within four years, the chain had grown to four restaurants, and I doubled my investment. This was an intense period, but I learned everything about successfully starting and running a profitable business. The success of my venture gave me the flexibility and financial freedom to focus on the topics which really matter like helping others on their entrepreneurial journey as I have been able to do it for myself. There are three main values that I firmly believe are essential for success in life. ✅ First is teamwork. You cannot be successful by yourself. ✅ Second is to always have a positive mindset and positive approach no matter how difficult the situation. I can recount numerous times in my professional career when we faced setbacks and all hope seemed to be lost. But with a bit of calm and a positive attitude, I was able to turn the situation around. ✅ Third is the ability to think outside the box. Unique problems require unique solutions. It is this ability that truly differentiates entrepreneurs from others.
