Bio

What do you love about your job? Here's what I love about mine: I help people challenge themselves to find their own authentic answers to this question. With 15+ years in the career development and human resources fields, my latest work adventure involves managing Challenge Factory ’s education and communication divisions. Through facilitation, training, curriculum development, and workshop design, we create bespoke coaching for organizations that are excited about disruption and lifelong career ownership. Through social and traditional media, conferences, podcasts, writing, conversations, and connections, we are building community and using business as a force for good. Lately, I've been obsessed with the intersection of marketing, training, online communities and the field of career development. In recent years, I’ve launched a career coaching private practice and become a sought-after speaker on all things career, bringing my boundless energy and stark refusal to regurgitate cookie-cutter approaches. I’ve held brand consulting, community growth, instructor and marketing roles with SaaS start-ups, universities, and industry associations. At a national level, I have developed and delivered learning frameworks, curriculum and tools for diverse audiences, including Armed Forces military spouses, career practitioners in continuing education, post-secondary student co-horts, Millennial & Gen-Z clients, and professional groups like the Canadian Medical Association. Certified as a Holistic Narrative Career Practitioner with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University, I have provided my expertise as a facilitator and author to pan-Canadian research non-profit CERIC, national, provincial and US-based career development associations, community-building events, and post-secondary institutions. I’ve been featured in and trusted by local & provincial news outlets, entrepreneurship magazines such as Halifax Chamber Business Voice and online publications like Flare, Careerwise and The Muse. I’m valued as a constant kickstarter, driving people and organizations to level up, explore, and take action in their careers & lives. Let’s move together in the direction of hope, accessibility, and equity.
