I work in JLR’s Analytics Centre of Excellence on projects across the business, from sales forecasting to the supply chain. As a team we deliver an average of £100m of value per year. I enjoy our outlook on the projects we undertake - making sure the right question is answered and that value is realised. I have enjoyed presenting our work at ODSC Europe on our hierarchical Bayesian forecasting model, and at Graph AI world on our supply chain graph database. My latest interest is in causal inference - yes, prediction is exciting and important but it only answers a subset of the questions that as data scientists we need to answer.
