I am a disabled and neurodiverse entrepreneur who is focused on removing the current disability employment gap and disability pay gap that exists in the UK. SIC was created to connect the dots between talented disabled professionals and talent short organisations. We support disabled, chronically ill, and neurodiverse professionals throughout their career with e-learning, events, mentorships, and paid training. All of the support we provide to disabled professionals is free of charge. We also work with businesses to create a more equitable world of work. We provide workshops, training, events, and consulting to guide employers throughout the entirety of their employee lifecycles and to support the creation of universally designed products. The profits we generate from the work we do with businesses, supports the work we do with disabled people. We're proud to be a social enterprise. As someone with over a decade of experience in the workplace as a chronically ill and neuro-diverse professional marketeer I am very aware of the problems I myself have faced. From missing a day a week of studies during school for hospital appointments, to being looked over for career progression, I bring my own lived experience to this role. I'm obsessed with writing, I'm an organiser, a people person, and an ambivert. I've worked for a number of ED&I organisations prior to SIC, including Coventry Pride and The Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (now Advance HE) as well as creating research and thought leadership for clients in this space. I truly believe that by making the world of work better for disabled people, we make it better for everyone.
