Bio

“Approach the metaverse with curiosity and playfulness, but always with integrity, ethics and care, and respect for the environment.” Accenture Fjord Trends 2022 As Co-Founder and Director of Ethics and Social Policy at Metacampus I work and learn with the team to find ways to support a better, more inclusive society. One in which all individuals are valued and supported to secure opportunities that enable them and communities to grow and thrive. We love Web 3 because it is ours to build and so we work every day to learn more about what is possible, what others are doing with Web 3, and forming collaborations that assist us in our journey. There are no experts in Web 3 - just expert learners and innovators working together to make a difference. We have a new set of tools that can assist us to challenge the root causes of inequality, to create a fair and more progressive society, that empowers individuals so that they unlock their potential and succeed. I have a long and successful history, three decades, and experience of managing and leading public services. My focus has been about working to improve children's lives - through ensuring access to high-quality education, health, housing, social care and wider community services and in building infrastructure that helps people live well. I have worked across several countries championing programs to support disadvantaged young people/adults, especially those from the care system, particularly through the use of forward-thinking technologies such as Virtual Reality and immersive training.
