Amna Habiba is a 16-year-old Pakistani, founder of BloomED Foundation (formerly Global Creative Hub) where she designs safe innovation spaces for marginalized female adolescents, Finalist Chegg Global Student Prize, 2022 Global Teen Leader, international speaker with 100K+ views, STEM enthusiast, and on a mission to change the narrative for girls. recipient of Voice of GenZ 🏆, Young Achiever 🏆, Young Voices 🏆, nominee & finalist for 10+ 🏆, multiple scholarships & microgrants, featured by UN, Malala Fund, Business Insider, speaker at World Bank, UNESCO, IFC, Microsoft, NHS, etc; she is passionate about using digital for social good and the UN SDGs. Growing up in a low-income household in a developing country where her parents did the best they could to provide, her community always discouraged her from pursuing STEM fields as a girl due to the cultural stereotype of a girl's future. When the pandemic provided her with an opportunity in disguise to explore the world of e-learning when digital literacy was a non-existent topic at school, it opened her eyes to the boundless opportunities available to explore fields that she never could as a female in Pakistan (completed 80+ courses & 100+ guided projects). In Pakistan, 17 million girls reside, but only 18% of them go on to account for the STEM sector. On a mission to change the narrative for marginalized girls, so that no girl goes through the same challenges that she did, Amna has dedicated her life to empowering girls in her community and beyond. With her initiative BloomED Foundation, she designs & implements projects like: #STEM16: 16th birthday movement to stop child marriages STEM Girl: creating female changemakers by sparking scientific curiosity through storytelling, technology, & role models (partnered with HP) TecGirl: annual transformational girls rights awareness program TRDC: ToT program - resilience & digital literacy for teachers Events: Awareness on girls' rights, education, GBV, 21st-century skills, & AI hackathons She has now expanded globally to reach 1 million marginalized girls with accessible STEM programming by 2030. Since 2020, Amna has organized & led multiple large-scale events for audiences ranging from teacher educators, youth changemakers, to marginalized communities. She is also currently the voluntary Director of Youth Innovation & Technology at Teach the Future (nonprofit), designing innovative global programs for youth changemakers like the 'Future Leader Program'.
