Amy Jupiter is a multidisciplinary creative leader who began her career as an intern at The Walt Disney Studios, then worked her way up at Walt Disney Imagineering to Executive Creative Producer, Executive Visual FX Supervisor/Producer and Experience Designer for attractions in every corner of the Disney globe. Ms. Jupiter is a back-to-back winner of VES awards for films in a Special Venue for James Cameron's, Avatar Flight of Passage and Pirates of the Caribbean:Battle for the Sunken Treasure.These two projects also won THEA Awards for Outstanding Attractions. Throughout her career, Ms. Jupiter has honed her expertise in experiential storytelling across multiple mediums. From Disney, she moved into the Feature Animation world as the Line Producer for Sony Pictures Animation's, Open Season. With the combined challenge of both setting up an all-new computer animation pipeline at Sony Pictures Imageworks and producing the film, Ms. Jupiter’s technical and creative versatility provided storytelling expertise, visual effects supervision as well as fiduciary responsibility for the $100m+ feature film. She was then tapped to produce the $15mm internationally produced sequel, developing a lower price point pipeline for the Studio, launching what now known as distributed production. After Sony, she returned to Imagineering where she was responsible for the media portfolios of both Marvel Studios and the Avatar projects. Leading up to and through the 2020 pandemic, Ms. Jupiter and her team took on the design, creation, and production of the real-time (Unreal), interactive game media in the new attraction on the Avengers Campus at DCA and DLP, Web Slingers: A Spider-man Adventure. Employing gesture control integrated with the Unreal Engine imaging and show control systems, this attraction was game-changing as Disney’s first fully integrated interactive ride in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Always pushing and expanding the boundaries of immersive storytelling, Ms. Jupiter and ByJove recently completed the concept design for the Galactic Astronaut Experience with her creative partner Joe Rhode at Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic serving as the Creative Producer and Experience Architect. Ms. Jupiter continues to be a scholar in residence at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering where she lectures on Experience Design and Virtual Production. She serves on the Academy’s Scientific and Technical Awards Investigation and Nominating Committee, is lecturer at the Epic Games Fellowship and is a member of the Producers Guild of America’s Producers Circle.
