I am a data scientist who specializes in understanding global domain name usage. I have spent the better part of my career developing ways to collect, analyze and present information about how the world leverages the DNS to connect end users with content. My work has afforded me the opportunity to work on data sets small and large using technologies ranging from awk to Hadoop. Today, I perform most of analysis using Apache Hadoop to develop MapReduce jobs that distill terabytes of information into useable findings.
