Andrew Smith has 30 years working in software and AI technology, has served on multiple boards and councils, including the global technology council of Accenture, and has spent the past 10 years focused on acquisition and integration of hightech businesses for established corporates, with a focus on leading edge software technology and artificial intelligence. Andrew has a first class degree in mathematics from Trinity College Cambridge, graduated in first place in the compter science department at UCL for his masters, specialising in artificial intelligence and winning the prize of best masters student across all computer science programs from Professor Peter Kerstein, one of the founders of the internet. Andrew has extensive global experience across many countries and speaks and writes native level German and speaks fluent French. In addition to nearly 30 years working in global technology, Andrew also has been in four startups and most recently is founded carecircle.org, a healthcare social platform startup in elite the Microsoft for Startups program. Andrew is a rare example of a someone with experience of and who gets both the startup scene and the corporate world. As well as being a skilled author, presenter and adept at corporate communications, Andrew is also deeply into technology and believes in hands-on experience to help inform strategy development, e.g. by qualifying in 2018 as a machine learning engineer using state-of-the-art deep learning developer techniques.
