I am a Technology and Business leader with expertise in the Electric Power, Renewable Energy, Smart Grid and Energy Markets industries. I am an experienced people manager and a technical leader with more than 15 years of direct experience in the electrical utility sector. My core expertise is in the area of supporting large scale Electrical Power Systems and Grid Interconnections in the Independent System Operator settings. I have an in-depth understanding of the Electricity Markets and the software utilized in running the Day Ahead and Real Time markets. As the Manager of Market Engineering and Network Applications at California ISO, I am responsible for managing a large team that leads the design and implementation of new reliability Power Network Applications and Energy Market functionalities. I also provide expertise in supporting the EMS Advance Applications and Energy Imbalance Market (EIM). I have also led the company’s footprint network expansion efforts and directly interface with the external customers during the network integration process for EIM and Reliability Coordination (RC) projects. With an eye towards the future evolution of the energy industry, my interests lie in the areas of business/technology development and technical management opportunities in Grid/Market Management Software Implementations, Renewable Integration, Smart Grid Implementation and integration of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence solutions to the Power Systems.
