Currently: Tending to the dbt Community garden at dbt Labs. In a past life, studied how distributed and open source communities worked, fought and learned in a Postdoc at Carnegie Mellon, and a PhD in the National University of Singapore before that. Nerd out about organizational design, complex data models and pipelines, automation and scaling of analytics processes, open source software and team/group dynamics in no particular order. Published papers and have given talks on various combinations of these areas. AMA.
