Bio

For my PhD I worked in the molecular neurobiology group of Prof. Heikki Rauvala, which in 2003 joined the Helsinki Neuroscience Center. During my PhD I specialised in cross-disciplinary research projects, and acquired knowledge and skills in biochemistry and physiology. At the end of my PhD I supervised master students and ran practical courses. I moved to work with Biocomputing Platforms as a science expert, and later as a team leader. My main responsibilities are science communications, translational research projects, and solution design. My position has given me insight to the field of genetics in relation to the practical everyday issues.
