Professor of Economics doing research on macroeconomic trends related to growth, fiscal and monetary policy as well as business cycles. Teaching in INSEAD MBA and EMBA programs as well as in open-enrollment executive programs such as the Advanced Management Program. Former director of senior management programs for Cisco and CEMEX. Dean of the MBA Programme during the years 2004-2008. Regular speaker at conferences and company events on issues related to current macroeconomic events. Worked as an external consultant for the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the US Federal Reserve, the OECD and the European Commission and his opinion was requested by the UK government to decide on UK entry in EMU.
