Connecting people, business needs and IT is what I wake up in the morning for. Working as the VP IT & Cyber at Taboola is my second love. Providing IT vision and solutions to grow the business is my top priority. Connecting the business needs for compute, store, connectivity, collaboration and networking all in a days work. Challenging the way most companies manage IT activity, my team and I implement solutions from Open Source to home grown to traditional enterprise software. Challenges range from storing large amounts of data in NoSQL databases, finding and managing the correct BI solution to log shipping, automation and SaaS ERP. In short, if it transmits, processes or stores data, my team brings it to life. In my former position as the CIO of a large Casino, Poker and Gaming provider, IT challenges were very different, running multiple self owned, data centers worldwide to provide the best user experience. The day to day operations of more than 150 on-line casino games, sport betting and tens of thousands of on line poker and bingo players is amazing. New technology streams in, keeping it in sync with the legacy systems of the veteran games, making sure that new applications roll out to production without affecting the current offering and so much more. On top of that is the delicate work of monitoring all the servers and applications not only at the “vital signs” level but at the player experience level, to make sure all systems are in sync and our customers (both business partners and end user) can enjoy the best gaming experience on-line. Previous positions as Engineering and Information Security Manager allowed me to gain years of experience in the fields of carrier class communications and information security.
