I am the founder and CEO of Måndag, a marketing designer and an urban activist. Over the years, I’ve been involved in a number of projects that activate social change. I would like to renew the terminology that is used in marketing and focus on open communication and the participatory approach to involve people early in the process. I’m a firm believer in trying new things in both communications and in urban culture. I’ve worked in advertising for over twenty years, both in Finland and abroad. During this time I have learnt to understand marketing and to respect collaboration skills and creative work. By going through what I have, I now understand the laws of marketing and am able to apply them in today’s world. Måndag is a creative change agency where marketing, strategy, journalism, activism and action merge. We help organisations and businesses focus on what really matters to create change where it’s most needed. Our creative solutions are powered by our deep expertise in strategic thinking (both public and private sector), sustainable development, and human rights activism. We’ve combined forces to launch Shared Actions that clear the path for everyone towards a more sustainable society – now, 2050 and 2500. We combine big ideas and good plans with fearless creativity and best talent. Working together with our clients and the creative community, we build missions, stories and solutions for a shared success and positive impact. I also lecture at various colleges and universities. Topics have included design activism, marketing, social impact and various aspects of sustainability. The fight against the climate crisis and human rights, what they mean and how these issues can be taken into account in different professions. How we can build bridges between different actors and accelerate positive sustainable change.
