Aviv Gilboa is the President of Skylight, a high growth consumer tech company with a mission to connect loved ones. In his role, he oversees the company's growth, day to day operation, and strategic vision and planning. Prior to Skylight, Aviv was the Head of Product Discovery and Growth at Ring, the Amazon owned security company with a mission to make neighborhoods safer. In his role, Aviv oversaw the digital product and revenue growth org, global eCommerce team, and Ring’s value added services teams at Ring/Amazon. Aviv joined Ring in 2017 and launched the Neighbors app, served as the first Chief of Staff to Ring founder and CEO Jamie Siminoff, and launched digital innovation programs that helped enable the Amazon acquisition in 2018. Prior to Ring, Aviv was at Kleiner Perkins, where worked closely with the venture fund and helped establish the firm’s Corporate Development practice, responsible for building strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities between Kleiner’s portfolio companies. Aviv has several issued patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, is published in TechCrunch, and was a co-author of the inaugural Design in Tech report in 2015 and contributor to Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends reports in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Aviv holds a BA in Political Economy and Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley. Aviv currently serves on the board of directors at UC Berkeley Hillel and Camp Ramah in California and spends time as a startup investor and advisor to Backbone (https://playbackbone.com/) and Dream Pops (https://dreampops.com/).
