Entrepreneur and investor focusing on Deep Tech, in particular AI, nanotech, biotech, and quantum computing. I have spent the last two decades visiting many of the world's leading universities and research institutes, all across Europe, USA and Asia. I sat down with key experts in quantum technologies, nanotech, biotech, AI and computer science, industrial leaders, PE and VC investors, economists, lawyers, policy makers and regulators. I have questioned them in how they work today and helped them think of new ideas to address some of the world's most pressing needs. Over time, I created a global network of experts in management, economics, law and technology. I formed dedicated teams which I engaged in international research and development programs. I worked pro bono and raised capital from multinationals, industry and governmental programs. I have initiated, negotiated and closed Industrial Co-Operation Agreements (ICA) - contractual instrument used in the niche trade of defence offsets credits. These deals are complicated in the sense that they balance a mix of technical, strategic, economic, political, and bi-lateral aspects, (sometimes beyond my knowledge) and other governmental trade factors beyond my control. I built industry-wide consortia, initiated and coordinated EU research projects, established the two primary Norwegian national committees for standardisation of nanotechnology, and also enrolled Norway in the CEN, ISO and IEC nanotechnology committees. I initiated cooperation with the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters to organize part of my work under International Council for Science (ICSU). I was appointed a national expert in nanotechnology regulatory programs and served on various advisory boards on relevant pan-European EU funded research projects.
