Bio

I am a Computer Engineer with an emphasis on Linux kernel and Embedded System. Currently, I am participating in the Outreachy program as an intern for Linux Kernel on the project ''Improvements to DRI-devel (aka kernel GPU subsystem)''. I have also taken part of LKCamp (Linux Kernel study group) in Brazil, where I have learned how to better contribute to the Linux community. I have studied the use of dynamically allocated memory in the Linux kernel. The methodology used was to write semantic patches to identify allocations used as temporary buffers, among others. I became familiar with the semantic patch language to use with Coccinelle and the various primitives used for managing memory in the Linux kernel. Also, I have studied how to use Coccinelle to identify Linux kernel patterns, which can be useful for discover and document patterns used in the Linux kernel and also check whether disobedience to the standard led to less readable or incorrect code. Additionally, I have implemented the communication interface from the XBee radio to the application layer running on the Raspberry Pi, to transmit and receive data through the serial port, and developed a prototype wireless network with ZigBee, using XBee sensors ZB L / T / H and module coordinator was using a Raspberry Pi with an Xbee radio.
