Becky Anderson is an experienced advisor and instructional specialist. Her expertise lies in career advising and academic advising; student success; and educational leadership. Her clients include undergraduate communities, graduate communities, postdoctoral fellows, and occasionally faculty. She strives to support her clients through individual and group consultations, discussing their needs, and collaborating to develop tailored action plans designed to meet their current goals, and iterating on these plans to support their future growth. She's a Career Advisor with the Centre for Career Action at the University of Waterloo, a sessional instructor in the Department of English, and a former Graduate Educational Developer with the Centre for Teaching Excellence. Becky teaches undergraduate courses on academic writing, digital life, and business communication. Her research, which examines how immersive spaces are curated across storytelling modalities, is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
