Food Waste Hacker, founder and CEO of LightBlue. LightBlue is a social enterprise reconciling sustainability with business excellence. Over the past 10 years, we developed unique skills, technologies and methodologies to minimize food waste and run over 45 projects for International Hotel Groups (Marriott, Hyatt, Accor..), Government Agencies (TCEB), International Organizations (GIZ, Michelin Guide Thailand - video HERE..), Business and Culinary Schools (Republic Polytechnic Singapore, ESCP Europe) and restaurant groups (Cofoco) in 15 countries. I started my career in sustainability in 2008 with Accor as a Green Globe certification manager for 45 Novotel, then became a consultant for the EU in helping Vietnam design its national green hotel standard, and later endorsed the role of consultant and trainer for the UNILO on Greening the Hotel Industry program (Thailand, the Philippines). Realizing that sustainability and food waste was not taken seriously by the hotel industry, I founded LightBlue Environmental Consulting in 2012. LIghtBlue is a regional awareness raising, auditing, capacity building, consulting and technology firm working on food waste prevention across Asia and Europe with hotel groups (Marriott, Accor, IHG..), restaurants (Cofoco Denmark) as well as with International Organizations (Partner to the Michelin Guide Thailand, The PLEDGE on Food Waste) and government agencies (TCEB).. I am lucky also to be an international speaker (55 conferences , 11 countries), guest-lecturer in Business (Harvard, Bonn, ESCP Europe) and Culinary Schools (Institute Paul Bocuse) and a preferred trainer for the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. With a consortium of academics and experts, we co-developed The PLEDGE on Food Waste, a Certification and Benchmarking system (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaijau5Y9Zc&feature=youtu.be ) enabling government agencies, restaurant groups and hotel groups to adopt a unified and holistic approach, benchmark the performance of its business units through 3rd party audit, and to save big by cutting on food waste. It has been endorsed by the International Food Waste Coalition (IFWC). LightBlue’s expertise has been referenced in more than 40 publications worldwide, including the Financial Times, El Mundo and the Bangkok Post. Still... am feeling we are just getting started​
