Over my 20+ years in the military and industry, I have gained valuable experience in establishing and running diverse organizations, from special operations units to aircraft carrier-based squadrons. My expertise includes in-depth departmental and senior level management with an understanding of the critical value of inspiring people to high levels of performance. Developing winning teams by empowering and guiding others to achieve and surpass goals is what I love most. I’ve held many roles at large and small organizations, from project team lead at VMware to nuclear strike advisor to the President of the United States, to running operations at large squadrons; and appreciate the realities faced by employees, managers, and senior decision makers. In reaching for any objective, it is essential to understand the complete vision and goal of the organization, and then to drive and align the efforts of everybody to achieve those objectives. I’m passionate about innovation and solving tough problems. My career has included advising senior leaders at the highest levels of government and industry, developing and implementing corporate strategic vision, organizational structure development, mentoring leaders and building teams, leading organizational change, complex program solving, effectively managing risk and safety to include high-risk operations, managing resources and personnel, operations management, business development, contracting and finance strategy, strategy development, command center operations, and managing multi-million dollar portfolios. I’ve been successful in establishing collaborative networks across various industries, functions and geographies and operating at global scale.
