Bio

I became Global Chairman of KPMG in October 2017 and am extremely proud to support the 200,000 KPMG people around the world. My highest priority is working together with our talented professionals to provide each KPMG client with the highest standards of quality and consistency in everything we do for them. I’m originally from Vancouver, and served as Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner of KPMG in Canada as well as holding a number of other roles with our Canadian practice. I was also Chairman of KPMG’s Americas region, and have been on KPMG’s Global Board since 2009. Before entering the business world, I studied science, which I find is extremely relevant today as technology infuses every part of our business and the businesses of clients. I am a Chartered Accountant, receiving the designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and was pleased to be named a Fellow of the Institute in 2008. I’m passionate about inclusivity and diversity, and promoting an inclusive and high-performing culture throughout KPMG. I believe that business is made better when people with different experiences, backgrounds and viewpoints come together, and am proud that our values, strategy, purpose and vision reflect this. I’m also passionate about KPMG’s role in our communities and our focus on lifelong learning, and the work we do with not-for-profit organizations around the work to promote and enable learning for all. I love the time I spend with the people of KPMG and clients, but when I’m not on the road, my greatest joy is spending time with my wife and our three children in Toronto.
