Active board director with public and private company experience; former CEO and operating advisor to Private Equity and new ventures. Breadth of leadership experience in sales & marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, innovation, and ESG. Core competencies include: - Board governance (public, private, compensation committee chairman, audit committee, ESG, activist situation experience) - Wide breadth of functional expertise (R&D, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, distribution, EHS, and business management) - Wide breath of end-market experience (industrials, CPGs, automotive, life sciences) - Sustainability strategies adding tangible value end-to-end across value chains - Accelerating growth and value creation through organic strategies, M&A, and turnarounds - International business and operations - Organization design, leadership development, talent recruiting, coaching, and diversity - Special subject matter expertise in Activated Carbon, Paper, and Packaging Chemist and Ph.D. Chemical Engineer by education. ~30 year career with WestRock (and predecessor MeadWestvaco) which began in Specialty Chemicals (Ingevity, activated carbon and pine chemicals). Served in R&D, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain roles, developed deep experience particularly in activated carbon (automotive evaporative emissions control) before advancing on to executive roles. Transitioned to paper & packaging leading global businesses before becoming group president of the $10B WestRock packaging platform. Joined TemperPack in 2017 as board member and advisor. Served as CEO 2020-22. TemperPack has grown 20X over the last 6 years to become the leading provider of recyclable/compostable insulation for cold-chain e-commerce packaging. Today, actively serving as board director to public/private companies and as an experienced operating advisor to Private Equity.
