An engineer at heart, Börje is passionate about innovation and continuing Ericsson’s drive to be at the forefront of technology, and to empower people and industries to reach their full potential. Ekholm leads the company of 111,000 professionals with a philosophy of “show, don’t tell,” and prioritizes customers above all. Börje assumed leadership of Ericsson in January 2017. From 2005-2015, he served as CEO of Investor AB, a leading investment company in the Nordics. From 2015 until he became CEO of Ericsson, he served as CEO of Patricia Industries, a division created from Investor AB in 2015 to focus on the portfolio of wholly-owned companies.
