Brian Holden is the Head of Highways | Phase 2 for HS2 Ltd. Brian is a Chartered civil engineer by discipline with over 25 years’ experience in the management, design and site supervision of complex multi-disciplinary, infrastructure and building projects for both private and public sector clients. Brian is a key reviewer in the design coordination process and use of infrastructure specialists on complex engineering projects. He regularly adds value to clients’ projects by ensuring key specialisms are involved at early stages. He was a member of the Capita management team for Central with responsibilities for resources, skills, ICE training accreditation, P&L and maintained Urbanvision project management relationships. He has assisted many clients to realize value in their projects including Salford City Council, Blackpool Town Council, Manchester City Council, TfGM, Network Rail and large international construction contracting companies. He has experience of many different types of complex infrastructure concepts on varied types of development and has been involved in all aspects of external engineering and building engineering carried out by the business. Brian has also been project manager of a number of Smart city projects/masterplan implementation involving Capita as the lead consultant with management of interfaces with other engineering teams. All are underway to be completed to development schedules. He has experience of working in the UK, Europe, and extensive understanding of KSA and the Middle East having been resident there over a number of years.
