I'm an experienced private equity investment professional and operator, having led investment, strategy and business development projects for multiple startups, corporates and funds across multiple industries (with focus on Food & Agriculture), in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. I'm driven by the mission of building a more sustainable food system, and I believe in the power of entrepreneurship, innovation, and leveraging capital as a force for good. I'm a supporter of both traditional, regenerative, and tech/biotech-enabled methods of producing food. I now lead a global advisory and investment practice that leverages a successful track-record in (a) executing investment strategy and leading portfolio company value creation for some of the largest investment firms in the world (The Blackstone Group, Patria Investments and Manulife) and (b) leading strategy and M&A for multiple startups and the largest private food company globally (Cargill) I’ve invested, managed and advised companies throughout the Food & Agriculture supply chain, including vertically integrated agricultural platforms, controlled environment (greenhouses and vertical farms), crop inputs (production and distribution, alternative proteins (plant-based and biotechnology), food chain logistics and global ingredients.
