I've spent the last 6 years in gaming - from running my own live-stream to heading up the marketing department for a publisher, I've found a love for independent games. As an advocate for all players and platforms, I use my experience and opportunities to promote games to the widest audience possible because I know other players value the same sense of discovery in stumbling across a new favorite game or an in-game secret that I do. I don't have a formal degree in game design or business; I got my degree in criminology and pushed my way into the gaming industry with passion, dedication, and gritted teeth. There's no doubt it's a competitive industry, but I'm here to stay and enthusiastic about all the projects I work on, no matter how big or small. When I'm not helping studios get their games noticed, I run my own indie review and news site called Indie Hoard. With thousands of indies releasing every year, many get lost in the moving tide, and I want to make sure more of these games get press coverage, even if it means I'm the press giving them that coverage.
