(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧ ~ HELLU ~ Director of Awesomeness, Abuser of Emojis. I am a dessert nomming keyboard warrior with more than 25 years of demonstrable passion as a leetbix, hardcore, competitive gamer. As a woman of colour (WOC) with over 15 years of international experience in fields related to psychology, video games, and GUR (games user research), you might consider me a silent veteran to the industry; and a silent pioneer to the field - but not silent by choice! Today, I'm a trailblazing Insights Unicorn; disrupting the games industry-standard meaning of 'insights' and remodelling it to vertically centralise ALL qualitative and quantitative data related to the player- holistically informing strategy across corporate, business, and functional levels (Games Research + In-game Analytics + Market/Brand Insights + Business Intelligence etc). Of course, I continue to carry and lead work on data triangulation and mixed methods research to additionally prepare research strategy for greater things; particularly game investment intelligence. (っ˘ڡ˘ς) I lead with empathy, trust, and inclusivity. I serve my teams through empowerment- and fight the good fight to equip us all with knowledge, resources and tools necessary to be successful in our roles. Achievements are a ''we'' because the insights output is undeniably a collaborative effort. w00t!! My area of expertise is strategising and leveraging the business value of insights towards informed decision-making at the project, senior management, C-suite, and industry level. I guide with tact and transparency through my favourite activity in the world: interpersonal relationship building. Why? Because I work smart, not hard.
