I am a partner in the Technology Transactions & Privacy Group at the law firm of Perkins Coie LLP. I have particular experience with negotiating cloud service agreements, app/web development agreements and other technology-related agreements. I counsel clients on legal issues related to blockchain, digital identity, crypto, artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML), immersive reality, cloud services, and Internet of Things devices. I also represent clients on data privacy and data security issues relating to technology transactions. As a former Corporate & Securities lawyer at Arent Fox and Cravath, Swaine & Moore, I have also had significant experience in negotiating M&A transactions and performing due diligence relating to M&A transactions. Prior to becoming an attorney, I served six years as an active duty Navy Supply Corps officer at Naval Reactors, the government office responsible for the U.S. Navy’s nuclear propulsion program. During my time in the Navy, I was responsible for negotiating contracts for nuclear-powered aircraft carrier refueling and overhaul projects (e.g. the process of replacing spent nuclear fuel in a carrier and modernizing the ship).
