My research mission is to advance understanding of the interactions between the land surface, the turbulent atmospheric boundary layer, and cumulus clouds. A better understanding of the near-surface climate will greatly help in improving weather and climate models. Furthermore, it is of great importance in the energy transition toward solar and wind energy. I aim to innovate our research field by i) developing novel computational fluid dynamics codes and by contributing to existing weather and climate models, ii) using artificial intelligence to speed up computations in those models.
