I am accountable for three areas of MSS IT (HSBC's Investment Bank): its IT strategy, development of digital asset solutions (including the recently launched Orion platform) and (acting) CIO for Securities Services. In the last few years I have held several roles: • Head Digital and Data – driving the launch of Securities Services' digital strategy and project implementation • Head of Custody IT • Head of Architecture, Strategy and Innovation for Securities Services During the (first) dot.com boom I co-founded an on-line multi-market share trading company Sharepeople.com – we sold Sharepeople to Amex in 2001 for $45M. As well as being a co-founder, I held the FSA regulated position of IT Director. I am a global technology team leader of multi-cultural and geographically dispersed teams (I have led teams in NY, UK, India, Singapore, HK, and China from the UK.) I have two first-class honours degrees: (i) Electronic Engineering and (ii) Maths and Economics
