With over 25 years of power generation experience, I am excited to lead and expand our presence in the Energy Storage market. In this capacity, I oversee the development of safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy storage solutions for both utility scale and behind-the-meter applications. My responsibilities include setting strategic direction, setting technical direction, and business development. I combine my deep technical understanding of electrical systems and the utility industry to assist clients with a wide range of storage technologies and applications. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on electrical system design and analysis, protective relaying, and detailed design for new and retrofit power generation projects, microgrids, and black start facilities. I’m a professional engineer in 10 states, a senior member of the IEEE, and active in the Power System Relaying Committee. Additionally, I’ve been a contributor on various generation standards including C37.96 and C37.102, and currently serve as the Chairman of a working group investigating black start protection complexities. Burns & McDonnell plans, designs, permits, constructs and manages projects all over the world with one mission in mind: to make our clients successful. We’re constantly working to make the world a better place. As a 100% employee-owned firm ranking in the top leading firms for safety, each professional brings an ownership mentality to our projects. That means we think like owners, working through each challenge until it’s resolved. Want to learn more about Energy Storage or Burns & McDonnell?
