I was recently named a Top 100 AI global leader by Deep Knowledge Ventures, based on my achievements in science, technology and business. I have built several new products and growth businesses based on AI and data driven technology and research. As part of this, I enjoy to coach highly focused teams consisting of business leadership, product and research experts. I am a curious and creative person with strong analytical thinking skills, and I am at my best when driving challenging tasks in open collaboration. I have many unusual ideas that turn out to be successful and impactful. I have been a startup founder, professor, Vice President and Executive Director at some of the largest international tech companies, successful startups and leading universities. During my AI career, I have built and led the design and development of 100s of AI products and systems that optimise, automate and augment processes and create a superior user experience. My teams used AI technologies such as machine learning, autonomous robotics, music recommendation, conversational agents and distributed AI, which we applied across several industries, including health care, finance, retail, marketing and entertainment. I have taken increasingly bigger leadership roles building and executing company and government-wide AI and Data strategies. For at least two decades to come, there will be a huge demand in creating new AIs and integrating AIs into our daily lives and businesses, and I am committed to making useful and valuable contributions. I am fortunate to be one of the few experts in the world that has had a deep and rewarding scientific and industrial career in the area of AI and Machine Learning.
