I provide innovative legal counselling to clients of all sizes including on international data transfer between the EU, the U.S. and other jurisdictions. IT law, unfair trade and trademark law (national as well as international), outsourcing, nearsourcing, compliance and e-discovery are further components of my advisory. Data privacy law has been top of my personal agenda for long, including internships with the German Federal Data Protection Commissioner and the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) in Washington, DC as well as a PhD-thesis on the differences between U.S. and German data privacy laws. I am a tireless advocate for the data innovation interests of my clients and I have dedicated myself to make a difference to data privacy law by publishing – including the chapter on international data transfers in Kühling/Buchner: DS-GVO as well as the chapters on data privacy in M&A transactions and whistleblowing and compliance in Forgó/Helfrich/Schneider: Betrieblicher Datenschutz.
