My original research comparing UAS with conventional technologies for beach profile surveys won the ACEC/NC Grand Conceptor, the highest engineering award in North Carolina. I was awarded the ESRI Special Achievement in GIS award in 2016 for this project as well. I along with my co-author, Dr. Orrin Thomas published a peer review journal article on UAS derived photogrammetric accuracy in the Journal of Unmanned Systems.
