Christopher Howes is an experienced executive and leader currently building the technical solutions team for Metaco in Asia Pacific. Most recently, Chris was the Head of Digital Assets Infra for IBM in AP and the global implementations leader for digital assets clients. Over his 25+ years in technology, consulting and sales, Chris has worked with some of the top banks, brokerages, insurance companies, technology companies, manufacturers and now, as part of his current role, cutting edge FinTech and crypto-native companies. Prior to returning to IBM, Chris was the Chief of Strategy and Revenue for NexPCB. During his tenure, revenue for the business grew 270% while business expanded across multiple new markets and channels. Chris used his extensive knowledge of sales operations and strategy to create new, scalable business processes across marketing, sales, project management, IT and business operations that positioned the business for the hyper growth it is witnessing today. Prior to NexPCB, Chris was the Channels Technical Sales Manager for Asia Pacific at IBM where he led the channels technical staff for IBM across A/NZ, ASEAN, Korea and India. This included distributors, resellers, ISV’s, Systems Integrators and Ecosystem partners. His key areas of responsibility were crafting go-to-market strategies, business development, resource allocations, channel enablement, incentives and personal technical leadership/mentoring. Previously, Chris was the Architect Leader/Manager of the ASEAN region where he was the team lead for a team of cross-discipline, technical solution architects across each of the 6 countries that IBM operates in Southeast Asia. His duties included complex solution leadership, skills development, delivery quality, operational oversight and professional development for this team. Christopher was also the Cloud and Analytics leader responsible for driving technical strategy, architectural excellence and client engagement in these high growth areas. Before moving to SE Asia, Chris held multiple leadership, sales, consulting and technical roles in China and in the US. From building technical communities across 4 continents to developing detailed architectures for high performance telecommunications systems, Chris was able to leverage his natural technical and leadership abilities into roles that were both challenging and high-value for his clients and colleagues. Chris continues to look for new and challenging ways to apply the skills and leadership experience that he has gained over his over 25 years of professional work.
