I had no intention of being a marketer. I wanted to be a musician. While in Journalism school, I became a DJ at the college radio station, founded an all-ska radio program, interned at a record label doing promotion, and played in a band. One of my earliest promo experiences was designing band flyers at 19 years old. Not only did I love being a musician, but I loved promoting my band just as much. These early experiences led me to what has now been an incredibly creative marketing career that I am grateful for and passionate about every day. I've worked in publishing, B2B, publishing, tech, design & branding agencies, non-profits, and at one of the most respected independent art colleges in the world—California College of the Arts—the place where I truly melded my passion for the arts with making a difference alongside an incredible community of students, staff and faculty. Today, I'm the Head of Marketing at Autodesk focused on The Wild & IrisVR, two XR products focused on VR/AR collaboration for architecture, engineering and design teams. I'm a forward-thinking, highly collaborative, and effective marketing, content, brand, and communications leader. I have excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to both strategically dive deep and also GTD (get things done). And if you're wondering, I have thrown in the towel on music but found a passion for another rhythmic activity: road cycling. :)
