I was achieving all I could ever imagine or want, but it wasn't enough. What I didn't know was, it never would be. On the outside it seemed like I was happy, fulfilled, and successful. But the truth was I was frustrated and empty inside... wondering ''Is this it?'' It didn't matter that I had the degree I wanted - an MBA. It didn't matter that I had reached the peak athletically - a Division 1 football player. It didn't matter that I had found great success as a musician, singer, and speaker - performing and speaking to crowds of up to 30,000 people. It didn't matter that as a pastor, I was leading successful teams of hundreds of volunteers. None of this stopped the nagging feeling inside of me that it wasn't enough... I wasn't enough. I KNEW there was MORE for me, but I was lost and wandering. I was empty. I was searching for the next accomplishment or achievement to fill this void inside of me. What I didn't realize is none of those things ever would fill the void. This emptiness, this feeling that I wasn't enough, and this constant striving to prove my worth would remain until I got real with myself. It wasn't until I looked inside and faced my issues head on that I was able to see the truth. This constant striving was how I coped with the countless losses I had experienced. Having walked through the loss of my father, the loss of my mother, as well as multiple other loved ones, loss was something I had become accustomed to. And my way of handling it? Moving forward, putting my head down, and getting to work on the next goal. I HAD to carry on their legacy. I HAD to prove that I was worthy to hold their name. I HAD to prove I was ENOUGH. And it was exhausting. I began to feel burnt out and unmotivated. I gained 35 pounds of fat in a year. I lost my passion. I wanted to quit it all. Something had to change. So I started over. I redefined myself, what I wanted, and who I wanted to be. I confronted the pain, the loss, and the beliefs that were putting me in this endless cycle of “never enough”. I lost 50 pounds of fat, then gained back 20 pounds of muscle. I founded multiple successful companies. I became the man I wanted to be. I found the MORE for my life. And now as a coach I’ve helped thousands of leaders and teams to do the same - to create the MORE they know is possible... to Maximize Their Potential. Want to find the MORE for you or your team? You can. Let’s chat about how I can help.
