Cupid Chan is a seasoned professional who is well-established in the industry and is a Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland. His journey started as one of the key players in building a world-class BI platform. Aside from holding various technical accreditations, his credential extends into other qualifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe Agilist, DevOps Practitioner, and Architect. Cupid has been a consultant for years providing solutions to various Fortune 500 companies and the Public Sector. By leveraging the power of Data, Analytics, and Technology, he helps his clients to gain invaluable insight and improve various aspects of their businesses. He is the Lead Architect for the Business Intelligence Analytics program in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), leading analytics initiatives on top of ~1PB data on both Big Data and traditional DB platforms. He was on the Board of Directors and Technical Steering Committee of Linux Foundation ODPi. His current role as Chairperson of the BI & AI Committee in LF AI & Data enables him to lead initiatives intersecting AI and BI and make it CI (Cognitive Intelligence) - combing the speed machines accelerate (AI) with the direction intuited by human insight (BI). He was the Architecture and Logical Data Model Group Chairperson accountable for managing engineering disciplines, providing overall technical direction, and supporting all products at Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO), which is a not-for-profit responsible for developing standards for exchanging information and conducting business for the U.S. mortgage finance industry.
